What to consider before booking

Hormonal contraception

This test is not suitable if you are currently using hormonal contraception (e.g. the pill, hormonal coil, implant, patch or vaginal ring), as these preparations suppress your natural cycle and distort the hormone values, and at least two natural menstrual cycles should have passed after discontinuation for the results to be reliable.

Optimal test time

The test should be carried out in the second half of the cycle (luteal phase), ideally around 5-7 days after ovulation. With a regular 28-day cycle, this usually corresponds to day 19-23. If your cycle is irregular or you cannot determine ovulation precisely, we will be happy to help you choose the right time. You can find more details in the FAQs.
